We’re really looking forward to celebrating Data Innovation Day on the 23rd of January. We have partnered with Center for Data Innovation to raise awareness about the benefits and opportunities that come from increased use and availability of information. This is the second Data Innovation day organised by the Center for Data Innovation. If you missed last year’s Data Innovation Day, you can find out more here .

Data Innovation Day is a celebration of the benefits for individuals, the public and the private sector of the ongoing revolution in data. The day hopes to inspire participants and give people the chance to showcase their latest data innovations.  Data Innovation Day also aims to highlight the value of the information economy across the globe.

Data Innovation Day partners have come from all over the world including the UK, America, Ghana, Ukraine and Australia and include a wide range of private and public sector organisations. This year’s partners include Google, Microsoft, Dell and GitHub as well as various other start-ups, nonprofits, academic groups and government institutions.

We’ll be celebrating by writing a blog series on our website over the next two weeks which will be available here. Follow what’s happening on twitter via @DataInnovation or take a look at our twitter list of partners and organisations involved in Data Innovation Day 2014. It is not too late to sign up to be a partner!
