Ray Kurzweil is now the Director of Engineering at Google. For decades he has explored the impact that artificial intelligence could have on expanding and enhancing human capabilities. His new book How to Create a Mind: The secret of human thought revealed is a great read.
Ben Horrowitz is a cofounder of Andreessen Horowitz, one of San Francisco’s top venture capital firms. He has recently published a book called The Hard Thing About Hard Things: Building a Business When There Are No Easy Answers which offers excellent and honest advice to startups.
We are also excited about The Future of the Mind: The Scientific Quest to Understand, Enhance, and Empower the Mind by Michio Kaku. Machio Kaku is Professor in Theoretical Physics at the City University of New York. His latest book looks at advancements in neuroscience and physics and the implications for the future of technological progress.
Designing for Behavioral Change by Stephen Wendel is an interesting read on application design development. Information Visualization: Perception for Design (Interactive Technologies) by Colin Ware, and Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture by Martin Fowler are also worth checking out.
